Plain Language
What exactly is plain language? Why is something that's supposed to be simple so difficult to define and understand? This were the subjects of a conference gathering some 60 people on 22nd March.
In their respective speeches, simplification experts Josiah Fisk from Boston and Emmanuel Bégat from Luxembourg gave answers to these questions, by illustrating their ideas with a large number of positive and negative examples. At the end of the conference, the attendees were challenged to work on a concrete example of simplified communication. Below, you will find some picture of this interesting conference.
